Homeopathic Treatment Blog

http://www.emaxhealth.com just published a great blog and video talking about homeopathic treatment that I wanted to re-post in case people haven't seen it. It's really interesting and full of great info.

"Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine first defined by Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century. Homeopathic practitioners contend that an ill person can be treated using a substance that can produce, in a healthy person, symptoms similar to those of the illness.

According to homeopaths, serial dilution, with shaking between each dilution, removes the toxic effects of the remedy while the qualities of the substance are retained by the diluent (water, sugar, or alcohol). The end product is often so diluted that it is indistinguishable from pure water, sugar or alcohol. Practitioners select treatments according to a patient consultation that explores the physical and psychological state of the patient, both of which are considered important to selecting the remedy.

Claims for efficacy of homeopathic treatment beyond the placebo effect are unsupported by the collective weight of scientific and clinical evidence. Common homeopathic preparations are diluted beyond the point where there is any likelihood that molecules from the original solution are present in the final product; the claim that these treatments still have any pharmacological effect is thus scientifically implausible and violates fundamental principles of science, including the law of mass action.

While advocates point to positive results as evidence for its efficacy, the number of high-quality studies that support homeopathy is small, the conclusions are not definitive, and duplication of the results, a key test of scientific validity, has proven problematic at best. The lack of convincing scientific evidence supporting its efficacy and its use of remedies without active ingredients have caused homeopathy to be regarded as pseudoscience; quackery; or, in the words of a 1998 medical review, "placebo therapy at best and quackery at worst.""

Homeopathic Treatment Might Be A Good Substitute For OTC Medicines

homeopathic treatment
Just recently it was announced by major manufacturers of OTC infant cough and cold medications that they were going to remove their products from store shelves because they are worried that some might not use them correctly. Following this, mothers across the nation started speaking their minds on websites like pregnancyweekly.com.
"That is ridiculous!" a user named GenvieveK said. "What are we supposed to give our babies to make them feel better??"
"Holy cow," Danetta2357314 said with a shocked tone, "I should have bought some before they took it off the market ... and besides, can people not read labels? HELLO."
These mothers were not only angry, but frustrated with the fact that others who misuse medications are the ones ruining it for everyone who uses them properly. As a result of all the commotion, some users on pregnancyweekly.com began brainstorming ideas that involve homeopathic treatment. A user with the handle "Meg and Jo" provided some much needed advice to these mad mothers.
"Go to your local health food store and buy a homeopathic remedy. Oftentimes they work better than the OTC stuff," Meg and Jo mentioned. However, if you do plan on taking Meg and Jo's advice, be sure to speak with your physician before giving any homeopathic treatment or remedy to your child.

Acne Can Be Controlled With Homeopathic Treatment

homeopathic treatment
People of all ages unfortunately experience the problem of having acne or acne scars at some point in life. Even though teens encounter outbreaks of acne much more than older people, it is still common for these elders to have them as well. This proves that someone's age does not have much effect on the duration or frequency of acne outbreaks and scarring.
Acne is the most common of all skin ailments and it is something that does not go away easily, which motivates people to find a homeopathic treatment for it.
Thanks to medical science and its advancements, many chemical medicines are being sold in stores today to help acne problems, but these medications can have side effects. At times, these chemical medicines make the problem worse rather than get rid of it. As a result of this, a lot of people are looking for safer and natural choices so that they can treat the problem at home.
One of the most common homeopathic treatments for getting rid of acne and other related problems is the use of Silicea. Silicea is said to be a preferred treatment for controlling acne and it supposedly works effectively on other skin related ailments. If Silicea is used properly, it can be a strong method for helping individuals and it can give them the ability to destroy the acne issue from where it starts.
It must be kept in mind, however, that homeopathic remedies and their effects are absorbed primarily by the tongue. As a result of this, patients are strongly recommended to discontinue the ingestion of coffee, raw onions, sour tastes and flavors, camphor and other substances. Please speak with a professional physician before trying any sort of homeopathic treatment.

Homeopathic Treatment Can Help With Weight Loss

homeopathic treatment
For many people in our world, especially those who just recently gave birth to a child, homeopathic treatment may be the weight loss answer that can help. Many women are so involved with their newborn child that it can be hard to find time to get rid of those extra pounds that came with the pregnancy. The Institute of Medicine even says that childbirth can cause a woman to gain roughly 2.2 pounds each year afterwards.
Weight gain as a result of postpartum stress is not uncommon, and it can also be caused by other things like thyroid dysfunction and the use of birth control pills. New research has shown that stress causes the body to release hormones, which is followed by weight gain. Along with this, anti-depressants and other psychological medications that are taken by postpartum sufferers can also add on some unwanted weight.
Homeopathic treatment provides a safe and prolonged answer to this problem. Made up of several natural elements in small doses, homeopathic treatment is said to have no side effects at all. Global research has proven that specific homeopathic medicines are very effective in helping one lose weight. This is done by speeding up the metabolism of an individual so that they burn calories at a quicker rate.
There are a couple well-known homeopathic medicines that assist in weight loss. One is known as Fucus Vesiculosus 6C, which sheds pounds by burning fat tissues in one's body at a faster rate. Another medicine, called Phytolacca mother tincture, helps reduce weight simply by speeding up your metabolism.

Animals Can Now Benefit From Homeopathic Treatment

homeopathic treatment
When many people discover that their pets are sick or ill, they usually assume that they must provide chemical treatment for them without any other options. However, it now appears that homeopathy pills can be used to help many common ailments in pets.

Physicians at Dr. Batra's, which is a popular franchise of homeopathy clinics, are providing treatment for many animals by using their sweet pills and liquids to help problems such as diarrhea, fever, and various skin disorders.

"We have been treating animals at the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre (SGACC) in Delhi through homeopathy. Dogs, cattle and horses are responding well to homeopathy," mentioned Mukesh Batra, the director for Dr. Batra's positive health clinics.

"Homeopathy may take a little more time to cure but the effect is better. Our success rate in the animal centre is over 90 percent," Batra also stated.

Pragya Juneja, the administrator of Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, mentioned that the care center had roughly 1,300 different animals including cats, dogs, cattle, horses, peacocks, and pigeons. Juneja also mentioned that all of them were receiving homeopathic treatment when it was needed.

"Over one year, we have been giving them such (homeopathy) treatment and are quite happy with the results. The best thing is that it's easy for us to administer sweet medicines to our ailing animals," Juneja mentioned.

A New Approach: Homeopathic Treatment For Children

homeopathic treatment
Do you have a child that suffers from the following: ear aches, allergies, digestive issues, eczema, or issues with sleep, attention or eating? Homeopathic treatment can be a safe and positive remedy for these issues.

Homeopathic treatment refers to holistic medicine and methods that acknowledge that emotional and mental symptoms act simultaneously with physical symptoms. This type of treatment can effectively reduce childhood anxieties, tantrums, fears, hyperactivity and A.D.D. without resulting side effects. In addition to this, it can help kids more effectively fight colds and the flu.

Homeopathic remedies activate the "self heal" button. Chinese medicine refers to it as the "chi." Naturopathic medicine refers to it as the "vis." The study of Homeopathy refers to it as the "vital force." Each one describes the energy residing in the human body that when activated moves the body's system in the direction of better health and well-being.

Homeopathic treatments are individually chosen based on the different symptoms and composition of a child. They are taken from the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms and are recognized in the following way: A treatment that can create symptoms in a healthy kid can get rid of similar symptoms in an ill child.

A reason to consider this is that children respond extremely well to alternative treatments and medicine. For more information, get in touch with a licensed naturopathic doctor or a professional homeopath for a visit.
