Oscillococcinum (pronounced oh-silla-cox-seenum) is an all natural flu remedy now utilized in more than fifty countries around the world. It is made from anas barbariae hepatis et cordis extractum, a substance produced from the heart and liver of a domesticated fowl that French cooks use to make a duck dish.

Adherents, including doctors, routinely use oscillococcinum to treat the flu and state that it works. Most of today's doctors discount the remedy as implausible; with some even using the word "fraud".

Oscillococcinum, which costs about fourteen dollars for a packet of six doses, should be taken at the 1st sign of symptoms; it is definitely ineffective a few days after symptoms have taken hold. It's thought to be completely safe, though diabetics should exercise caution because it's one hundred percent sugar.
