Homeopathic Remedies Gaining Popularity On The East Coast
The odd thing about homeopathic remedies is that they may sometimes have names that sound bad, but in reality they could possibly be the best treatments for certain ailments. For example, a plant known as "deadly nightshade" has been given to some patients who visit homeopathic specialists. Linda McDonald, a homeopathic practitioner, believes that some conditions can be treated with substances that one may never even consider."I know it sounds crazy," McDonald mentioned, "but it works."
"Deadly nightshade" has been used as a remedy for fevers and headaches, according to McDonald. Mcdonald is a practitioner from Elkton, Md., and she has hopes to one day expand into the Cape Region with her homeopathic remedies and treatments. Earlier this month she spoke at Rehoboth Beach Public Library to help inform others about the possible benefits of using natural remedies in small, controlled doses.
Some may automatically dismiss homeopathy because it is new and unusual, but McDonald made a point of mentioning that it is regulated and approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
Another important thing to know about homeopathic remedies is that they are only effective and safe if proper instructions are followed. If you or anyone you know is interested in this type of treatment, then be sure to consult a doctor or homeopathic practitioner so that you can be given the correct guidelines and instructions for treatment.
